WEST SEATTLE SCENE: Junction tree-lighting expansion installation

If you’ve been in The Junction today, you might have seen the workers hanging lights in trees. As reported here recently, the West Seattle Junction Association is expanding its tree lighting, and this is phase 2, along California SW between Oregon and Genesee. Phase 1 of the expansion added lights to trees along SW Alaska.

      Why are they doing this?

Different associations. Reach out to the Morgan Community Association, which helps run events at the Morgan junction and which would be the one to apply for grants to make that happen

I love this! When I drive to work on dark mornings and the Junction trees are lit, I smile and feel so fortunate to live in such a charming place.I hope the lights move a block south of the Junction, too.

Wish the folks who have these trees right outside our windows had some say. It’s all charming until insomnia 😐 they should have kept it just in the junction

Sorry, comment time is over.
