They are clearing the encampment down by the 1st ave. bridge on the W Marginal side starting today.  My son said the Parking enforcement are there today.  Signs went up this week about moving.  Not sure where they are all going to go since this is a pretty big encampment?  I am sure not all of them will take up assistance that is offered.

Thanks, we’ll go look. While it’s a large area, in previous community-meeting discussions, police and others have said there aren’t many people actually living there.

I’m surprised to hear that is happening since recent news from other sources has been that they are not clearing other tent encampments because there is insufficient space available in shelters or crisis housing to offer to people that are being asked to move.

Not today – we went down to look for signs and they all say starting Monday. But it does look like PEOs have been through; saw at least one orange tag. Thanks again for the tip.
