Monday’s weather was nicer than predicted – maybe today’s will be too. Rain is in the forecast again, though.

ROAD WORK

*Alerts all week for some work under the bridge related to what’s happening on it – 7 pm tonight to 6 am Wednesday, a southbound WMW closure.

*Still awaiting the work at California/Myrtle and 8th/Roxbury.

BUSES, WATER TAXI, FERRIES

Metro is on its regular weekday schedule. Watch @kcmetrobus for word of reroutes/cancellations.

The West Seattle Water Taxi, which is operated by Metro, is now on the summer schedule – adding later evening runs on Fridays and Saturdays.

Ferries: WSF is still using the two-boat schedule for Fauntleroy-Vashon-Southworth. Check here for alerts/updates.

BRIDGES AND DETOUR ROUTES

764th morning without the West Seattle Bridge.

Low Bridge: Automated enforcement cameras remain in use; restrictions are in effect 5 am-9 pm daily – except weekends; the bridge is open to all until 8 am Saturday and Sunday mornings. (Access applications are available here for some categories of drivers.)

I checked for this post around 7:30-8am and it wasn’t here but has a time stamp of 6am. I hit refresh to make sure I wasn’t seeing a cache of yesterday. Is there something delaying the post?

  FWIW, (perhaps), to the tech person, it was the same thing for me, only closer to 8:00 am IIRC. HP Chromebook/Chrome Browser. —Mike

Yes, WSB. Glad you’re okay! I couldn’t see the traffic report post either, checking on computer in the office ( before leaving) and on the phone in standstill traffic, while trying to figure out why it was taking 45 min from N Delridge to the 1st ave drawbridge. Good thing I gave myself 1.5 hours to get to my meeting, even though that whole trip is typ. 45 minutes total. Usually don’t have to leave the peninsula!

Something has changed for the worse in the past 2 or 3 weeks. There is much more congestion and traffic backup getting to the 1st ave bridge.
