SEEN OFF WEST SEATTLE: USS Nimitz, outbound

11:11 AM: Thanks for the tips, and the pic above from M. The USS Nimitz (CVN 68) is the aircraft carrier seen passing West Seattle, northbound, about an hour ago. Josh Farley of the Kitsap Sun reports that it’s out for sea trials after repair-work completion at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.

Yes, 55,000 tons of American diplomacy, if you put one trillion dollar bills on dry land ,that about what it would weight, also when loaded with aircraft and forms up with her strike group they have the ability to destroy  just about all of South America!! God bless America.

We need to invest in our education, infrastructures and economy.  War is outdated and this world have enough war machines to wipeout humanity and poison this beautiful earth forever.  We have to learn the better way to coexist.

I respect those who have lost their lives in war or who been disabled, but I never allow my the fanciful illusion that a military machine can’t be turned against it’s own people.  For that matter, the same applies to a police force, an intelligence apparatus, or even a judicial system.
