Thanks to Terri for the report. On this after-the-storm Friday night, she says, this washed-up floating dock was spotted on the beach at Weather Watch Park. If you know of somebody missing one, you might consider pointing them there.
Is that the one that’s been floating off Emma Schmitz for several weeks? Turned up out of nowhere and stayed out for a while. Birds loved it.
I agree, this looks like the half submerged dock we’ve been viewing from Emma Schmitz Memorial Viewpoint all summer. It had that anchor looking thing on top. Will have to check next time we’re there to see if it’s no longer anchored out there.
I see now from the picture it’s a mounted pulley for hauling up a boat I presume.
This is the one that appeared off the shore of Emma Schmitz Park a couple of months ago, about 300 yds off the end of the seawall construction. It’s no longer there.
