CRIME WATCH FOLLOWUP: Recognize this thief?

On Wednesday evening we mentioned a smash-and-grab incident at Bellevue Rare Coins in The Junction. Today, the business shared a security-cam image with us in hopes that might help lead to a suspect. They tell us the thief mostly got away with jewelry. If you have any information, the SPD incident number is 20-208198.

That’s an ugly hat. Should get him another charge.

Bet he got rid of the hat. He covered his face and upper body pretty well. The hat provides a good focus of attention …. Away from him.

The jury will exonerate him when it hears that buying a new hat was his motive.

May not be a “he”.   Could be a “she” with hair up in hat.

Those look like some man hands

Agree…something about the posture suggests a female perpetrator.

so, if ID’s, what sort of charges are we realistically looking at anyway?

Thinking male..look at size of knuckles, male clothes and grey Nike shoes.   He may get rid of that hideous hat, but since brazen enough to steal in daylight, might not get rid of that soiled jacket and those Nike grey shoes.  He appears tall and slender.  Hope gets caught soon.  Too many thefts going on in West Seattle lately.

Please do not assume xer’s gender using your culturally biased stereotypes.

I think places like that need to insist people take off mask and hat and look at the camera to have a good photo of them if anything happens.
