WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Anybody see this hit-and-run?

From Angie:

My parked car was hit (Sunday) while I was at work in West Seattle. It was hit on Glenn and Oregon. According to a neighbor who walking their dog around 2 pm, it was like this.

It happened between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm. Maybe someone saw something and could help find the person responsible for damaging my car.

I’m glad you posted. It was Metrobus #7259 operating route 22 at 12:45 PM. For some reason it was going west on Oregon, turning south onto Glenn. Back of the bus just clipped your bumper as it was turning. The bus driver probably had no idea it happened.

Upon further reflection, taking Glenn must be the reroute for the 22 during farmers market.

That isn’t possible. Not only would the route 22 not go all the way over to Glenn St. (It is schedule to run on 42nd, but only north!) Any rerouting, for the market, would only affect its south run since it turns south from Oregon St. onto California Ave. BUT more so that Metros 7200 series busses only run out of Bellevue base, and are never run on the west side of the lake, even for substituting a shortare of busses from the downtown core bases (Atlantic base mostly which is the main provider of busses for west Seattle)

Swede, buses make wrong turns and go down Oregon to Glenn Way ALL THE TIME.  And I think you mean 44th, not 42nd. It would have been heading north on 44th, missed its turn on Alaska to avoid the Farmer’s Market, and had to turn west on Oregon and south on Glenn Way to get back on track.

Hi Angie, are you sure it was this Sunday? A few weeks ago a car just like this ( same color and model ) with the same bumper damage was parked on Glen and Oregon and the city towed it away. I Remember because our neighbors and I were talking about what  must’ve happened and why it was sitting there for a week.

    • Angie September 19, 2019 (6:04 am)

It happen this last Sunday September 15th.

DH, I’m sure Angie knows which day her car was hit, but just in case you were doubting her truthfulness, there’s a corroborating witness. Perhaps you saw a different car. There’s more than one black Subaru in West Seattle.

    No note on the windshield?

    • Led.2 September 17, 2019 (8:18 am)

I thought the same thing as you WS, no note???And KBear DH may be questioning the Sunday because no where in the “story” does it have a date, don’t think DH was doubting Angie.

Angie sent this to us on Sunday and said “today” but I was not able to publish it until Monday so that’s why it said Sunday.

    • Angie Cooper September 19, 2019 (6:07 am)

There was no note, which was surprising to me. Thank goodness for the WSB! Thank you everyone who has replied to this post! I appreciate you all!
