7:11 AM: No incidents in/from West Seattle right now. Foggy in some spots, though!

Here’s a look ahead to the holiday tomorrow:

VETERANS DAY ON FRIDAY: Schools will be closed … Metro will be running “reduced weekday” serviceNo West Seattle Water Taxi service. … Washington State Ferries has announced that on Friday at 11:11 am, it “will honor the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces by observing a moment of silence on all ferries underway at that time. Following the moment of silence, the ferries will blow their whistles in unison to recognize the bravery and sacrifice of our veterans.”

Did not get a picture, but I saw two cars on California near Oregon this morning that must have been stuck overnight. One had moderate damage to the rear but the second one looked pretty bad & was pushed up curb some.

Yeah, one of those was mine. SPD said someone had been arrested but I’m waiting for the handling officer to get back to me with details. Gotta love that alcoholic underbelly of WS.

Sorry to hear it. I have a couple scattered reports but need to get a police report to put it together – do you have an incident number? (If you don’t want to post it publicly, consider emailing us, editor@westseattleblog.com) If I have one I can attempt to get info via SPD media relations. – TR
