We will be having a guest speaker talking about *Priority Hire* joining us for Wednesday’s HPAC meeting: The City of Seattle recently passed a Priority Hire ordinance which will improve access to construction employment and improve training programs for workers in need of family-wage jobs. The ordinance prioritizes the hiring of residents that live in economically distressed areas in Seattle and King County on city funded construction projects- and 98106 qualifies.
