High-school football: Homecoming win for Seattle Lutheran

#32 in our photo is Seattle Lutheran High School running back Abijah Smith, who scored three of the Saints’ touchdowns as they won their homecoming game against Chief Leschi this afternoon, 46-6. He was also homecoming king – reigning with fellow senior Tori Hammond:

Ahead, more photos and notes from the game at West Seattle Stadium!

Lutheran, coached by Jeff Scott, got off to a fast start, rolling up a 20-point lead in the first quarter.

Along with Smith, senior Grant Doerr was a scoring leader with two TDs. Big day as always for the Saints’ cheer squad, coached by Deanna Skilton:

They had a special helper before the game was over:

Another guest appearance: The Chief Sealth International High School marching band performed a field show at halftime (Lutheran doesn’t have its own marching band):

Lutheran’s regular season isn’t over yet – they’re scheduled to play Tacoma Baptist on November 8th.
