BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS SYMPOSIUM: Under way now until noon, first-ever event to help out local business organizations around the city, organized by City Council President Sally Clark; not happening in West Seattle, but local participants/sponsors include the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce and West Seattle Junction Association, and your editor here is a speaker on the media panel at 10:50 am. PARKing DAY: Worldwide, this is a day for temporary mini-parks to be set up, mostly in parking spaces, to show alternate uses of public areas. UNITED WAY DAY OF CARING: Volunteers’ efforts include work in the West Duwamish Greenbelt, 10 am-2 pm.

WINE AND CHEESE TASTING: Metropolitan Market (WSB sponsor) in Admiral invites you to stop by 4-7 pm for a big event that’s part of the For the Love of Cheese: “We will be featuring artisan cheeses such as Mt.
