West Seattle Crime Watch bulletin: Seen this burglar?

Just in from Justin, word of a burglary this afternoon just west of The Junction:

My neighbors’ house was just broken into at about 3:15 pm today. Several officers responded but didn’t find the guy. He also broke into a lady’s house a few blocks north.

My neighbor has a security camera so got a good description. The police would like help spotting the guy; he can’t be far.

Black male, both large and tall, wearing baggy pants, white tennis shoes, grayish hoodie, was wearing a black knit cap, had a “very overstuffed” backpack.

This happened on the 4700 block of 46th Ave SW. Thank you, let’s get this guy!

Any chance you can post an actual picture from the security cam footage? This is near my house and if the guy changes his clothes it would be hard to identify him based on the description alone.

Very scary. My elderly mother lives in that general area. This piece of trash needs to be caught and soon.

I did see a large, tall guy in a grey hoodie and baggy pants at about 12.50 pm on the corner of 45th and Genesse or Oregon walking down the hill when I was returning back to my apartment. But I do not remember seeing a backpack or cap on him.

Would love an actual picture– I live on that block and walk the neighborhood often. You must be my neighbor. Please alert our fellow neighbors by going door to door and giving us a pic. Someone may have seen him since we have many stay/work at home neighbors! I hope he is caught!!

Was there any report of mail theft in addition to the burglary? I live near that area and oddly haven’t received any mail in the past 2 days.

My house on 46th and Alaska was burglarized by the same guy on Friday. Took laptop, Ipad and jewelry. Would love to see photo.
