Update: Fight, injuries bring police/fire response to Highland Park

5:23 PM: Police and fire have responded to a call listed as “assault with weapons/aid” in Highland Park, near HP Way/Holden. We’ve just arrived at the scene and are seeing one person, who appears conscious, being loaded into a private ambulance, and it appears one person is in custody.

5:35 PM UPDATE: Though this was reported as a potential “assault with weapons,” police tell us at the scene they can’t find any evidence of weapons – three people got into some kind of fistfight and at least one is hurt, though not seriously.

Awesome. Based on my daily bus experience, I’m going to say they just got off the 23? I would have been by there right about then. :/

WTF is up with all the gun violence in Seattle lately?????

No guns. No knives. It was reported as assault with weapons/aid but police tell us at the scene that they have not found any evidence of weapons – aside from fists. No life-threatening injuries. Have added more details and photo. – TR

My comment still stands, though it does not count to this news now.

Glad to hear it was not worse.

If memory serves, this is the same corner/dead end street where another assault-type incident happened about a year or so ago. Maybe it’s the same person/people…

I hope whoever went in the ambulance has insurance. tired of my tax money paying for these idiots.

Glad I ended up not buying the house on that street

Oh please, Jonnygoska. I live near where this happened and it’s ridiculously quiet most of the time.

I am surprised some Alki or Admiral resident hasn’t chimed in about this being in ‘White Center’ and that this isn’t in West Seattle!!

There’s actually just been one person who has tried to do that multiple times. Having been corrected 2 or 3 times, anything after that is trolling, which is against our rules and subject to deletion – TR

    Btw I despise trolls

As I keep saying, I’ll be happy to call this White Center when my property taxes are adjusted accordingly. :D

Sorry, comment time is over.
