Meet the mentors, and the mentored, tonight @ The Admiral

Tonight (Thursday) at West Seattle’s historic Admiral Theater, you’ll get something extra if you’re going to the 6:40 pm showing of “Waiting for Superman” – a preview of the new documentary about Community for Youth, a mentoring organization that works at three Seattle Public Schools high schools, including Chief Sealth. Mentors and students will be there to talk about the program. You can find out more at communityforyouth.org.

I am a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Oliver and his wife went above and beyond when they helped my Little Sister with mentoring… it’s amazing the work they do to help the youth in our community and I applaud them — along with all the other mentors, volunteers, and kids in CFY — for their efforts!

I’m happy to see CFY getting some recognition. This is a fantastic organization with great people behind it. The kids and mentors take the program seriously and work hard to achieve their goals. Keep up the good work!
