West Seattle grocery store sells $2.5 million Washington’s Lottery ticket. Are you the winner?

Somebody who bought a ticket for Saturday night’s Lotto drawing at Admiral Safeway won the $2.5 million jackpot – but hasn’t claimed it yet, according to a Washington’s Lottery spokesperson. No rush, of course – the ticket is good until February 11. The winning numbers as shown on the lottery website are 1, 10, 23, 27, 28, 49. And Safeway gets a jackpot of sorts for selling the jackpot ticket – $25,000.

No, which is why I’m eating Top Ramen in the break room at work.

It would be nice if that lucky winner gave a little bit of that newfound wealth to the West Seattle Food Bank. They could sure use it.

Or if one of the many Admiral millionaires gave a portion of their money as well….

    Congratulations to the lucky winner!

Nice. This is the one budget line item I don’t track. A guilty pleasure. At worst it’s $3 a week… All for the dreams.

I buy my tickets at that store regularly and the winner was probably the woman waiting behind me at the machine. Oh well, maybe next time!

I wonder what the Safeway does with that $25,000?

Would be great for Safeway to give it to the store employees!

I’m going to take the lottery winnings and build a community space/play area in middle of a street that is vital to the neighborhood it serves because, hey… where better to build such a thing?! It’s not like there’s both a playground and a giant city park a mere half-block away for people to use!

It would be nice to have more parks and community spaces! But, it will inconvenience a few people so lets scrap that plan. We don’t have enough road options as-is for people to choose from to get to their homes. (sarcasm)
