Caspar Babypants concert ahead for High Point Community Center

(WSB video from August 2010)
Kids of all ages loved ’em at the Summer Concerts at Hiawatha series last August, among other stops – and now West Seattle’s own Caspar Babypants (aka Chris Ballew and friends) has another local concert on the schedule. Got word from High Point Community Center tonight that CB will play HPCC (6920 34th SW) at 10:30 am Saturday, January 15th. Tickets are $3 in advance, $5 on show day.

Caspar Babypants was on the best-selling local albums of the week list (compiled by Sonic and Easy Street sales). Actually, CB had not one, but two listed in the top ten!!

    They are red hot!

Does anyone know if advance purchase is at HPCC? Or is there something on-line?

So much for the “free” concerts, huh?

Tickets are supposed to be available online, through the horrible Seattle Parks SPARC system. I’m pretty sure I saw them listed there a couple weeks ago.

Caspar Babypants plays lots of free shows. Just look at his website if you want to save a few dollars. However…the CB website still shows this as being a free show. oops?

SORRY! about the lack of ticket info…I just found out there was a cover charge myself!! MY BADNESS!
The deal is you call the center at 684-7422 and register with them. That way they know how many people are coming etc. Again I am really sorry for the incomplete information….I am a bad baby.

We’d pay $5.50 to see Caspar Babypants………so 3 bucks is a deal……….. in my own professional opinion. :)

I love me some Caspar. Er, and my kids think he’s okay too. Even my 12-year-old appreciates “Free Crawlin'” now that she’s heard the Tom Petty original.

You are not a Bad Baby. You are a Good Baby. You just probably need of a nap or a graham cracker and milk, maybe?

“Caspar” reads the WSB? That’s awesome! I was just sitting at work today listening to Pure Frosting and enjoying the heck out of it. 3 bucks? That’s nothing! I’m going and bringing the kids.

Sorry, that wasn’t meant to be pointed at Casper, but at the Hiawatha Concerts.

To be clear, this is NOT part of the free Summer Concerts at Hiawatha, if that’s what your remark was about. That is a summer-only series presented by the Admiral Neighborhood Association (we have co-sponsored it the past two years), that just happens to be on the lawn out back of Hiawatha and is NOT put on by the city. I just pulled that clip because it was the most recent CB performance we shot.

This is presented by the HP Community Center, which, as do other community centers, often charges a small admission fee for extra-special activities. – TR
