Who’s open Christmas Eve and/or Day in West Seattle, version 1.0

Caveat, this is a work-in-progress: WSB contributor/researcher Katie Meyer has done a tremendous amount of work to gather the info, but she’s still tying up loose ends, and we’ve still got a lot of links to add. That said, since we’re getting a lot of requests, we’re publishing the first “who’s open in West Seattle on the holiday” take for your reference (the link will remain the same as we tweak). This year, it includes who’s open for groceries, coffee, and/or dining on Christmas Eve and/or Day, so read carefully! And if you have firsthand knowledge of anything different/missing, please comment or e-mail us – thanks.

Thanks, KTE – we had that in the list but it was out of alphabetical order so it’s now moving to its proper A-Z spot along with a few others – thanks, appreciate the help, this is the first year we’ve looked up Christmas Eve too, by multiple requests, so the list is a lot longer! – TR

Honestly, I feel bad for the employees who have to work on Christmas Day! I hope it’s the owners who are working at a place like Taco Del Mar on Xmas Day. Really?…..the employees can’t have the day off? Who needs a burrito at 10am that day? I am sure those sweet employees would rather spend the day with their family/kids.

At a fast food place that I worked at on Christmas day the owners stayed home with their family, and for a bonus the employees got a coupon for a free ice cream cone, (oh boy) the managers got a gift certificate for a dinner at another restaurant. They lost a few employees after that. At least we had an option to work that day, an no we did not get paid time in a half for it either.
