The Board of Education rocks Alki Community Picnic

(Photos, Story and Video by Christopher Boffoli)

Tonight’s Alki Community Picnic had to move off the playfield and into the Alki Community Center due to the weather. But the gray skies, drizzle and blustery winds certainly didn’t diminish the energy of the crowd of children who danced to the music provided by The Board of Education.

Here’s guitarist Jon Goff inspiring a new generation of musicians by handing out guitar
picks at the end of the show.

And here’s a short video clip with some musical highlights:

That was so much fun! My daughter is still star struck that the “guitar guy” gave her a pick! I would like to give a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to The Board of Education and Casper Baby Pants for making kids music that us parents can rock out too as well! :) Thank You!!!!

So sorry we missed this one. We saw them at Hiawatha a few weeks ago and they totally rocked! Even my 11-year-old daughter had a blast.

Thanks to Chris and the WSB for such a nice post and video. And thanks to all of you for the wonderful comments.

CurlyQ, glad your 11 year old had a blast. As you can probably tell, the songs are really written for 8-12 year olds, so we love to hear about it when older kids like our music.

Word on the street is we may have some more West Seattle shows coming up. Stay tuned!

Sorry, comment time is over.
