Once-in-a-decade chance: Last call for the neighborhood survey

Tomorrow’s the final day – after an extension – to fill out a relatively quick survey (explained here) regarding your thoughts on the state of your neighborhood (or, if yours isn’t in the survey, one that you visit frequently) and how you’d like to see its future shape up. The Seattle Planning Commission has been updating that bar chart lately, and while on one hand it looks like Ballard/Crown Hill is insurmountably ahead, if you add up the five West Seattle neighborhoods that are included (Delridge, Junction, Admiral, Morgan Junction, Westwood Village/Highland Park) the peninsula is number one – but we still haven’t even totaled 1,000 responses – need fewer than 200 to hit that mark – so can you spare a few minutes to have a say on how you think it’s going and where you think it should go? Start here – deadline’s tomorrow.

Hmmm, I thought we would hit 1000 , no problem.

    I was way wrong.

Thank you for the reminder! I wanted to emphasize public safety for this report–which included no Highland Park jail and also addressing criminal elements in our neighborhood.

I’m glad you posted this! My bust live kept getting in the way but I was finally able to come through tonight. Thanks!

Is High Point part of Morgan Junction? I’m all about doing my part for the community, but I don’t want to spam my neighborhood if we really shouldn’t be filling it out…

Nevermind my comment…I read the report and just saw the aerial view, doesn’t look like the HP is included. Thanks for sharing anyway!

There’s no requirement that you live in the neighborhood for which you fill out the survey. HP doesn’t have this type of “neighborhood plan” so fill one out for a neighborhood where you spend a lot of time – Morgan Junction is the one for us, too, since we live in Upper Fauntleroy, but spend a lot of time doing business, walking, etc., down the hill in MJ – and for a lot of West Seattleites, The (WS) Junction might be the most relevant, etc. – TR

    I filled out a survey. :)
I tried to get my neighbors to fill it out, (by sending the link and email from Ron Angeles to the woman who is in charge of the neighborhood email list)

but she doesn’t like to forward emails unless they are directly and specifically related to ‘our neighborhood’

    sigh..

actually, if you look at respondents from the Junction, Westwood, and Delridge it is a respectable turn out. Crown Hill and Ballard is a very large area to have one plan if you ask me.

sam – Maybe you could persuade the email list holder to allow you to start a Google Group for the distribution and sharing of information in your neighborhood? They are pretty easy to set up and don’t cost anything. Good luck:)

Sorry, comment time is over.
