TONY’S SEASONAL CLOSURE: Sorry if we’re the last ones to know – but we’re mentioning this in case you hadn’t heard it yet either. While heading over to Fauntleroy via 35th, we noticed Tony’s Produce has started its traditional shutdown before the changeover to Christmas trees.

BLACKBIRD SPACE: More than a month after Blackbird Bistro closed, we’ve continued to look for information on who was supposed to be moving in — indications immediately afterward were that somebody already was lined up (the note on the window mentioned redecoration and “new food”) – but we’d have expected a liquor-license application by now (nothing so far). Suddenly, however, there’s a big BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY brokerage sign in the ex-Blackbird window. We will be checking further. (Wednesday morning update – thanks to David for calling our attention to this CL ad. We have sent an inquiry to the listing agent looking for more info.)
