Festival season is practically year-round these days. This Sunday afternoon, it’s the biggest Fauntleroy event of the year – the Fauntleroy Fall Festival at Fauntleroy Church (WSB sponsor), YMCA (WSB sponsor), and schoolhouse. Other weekend highlights include the West Seattle High School and Seattle Lutheran HS homecoming games, the West Seattle Trails kickoff, and MUCH more — 42 West Seattle events on our handy list ahead (sponsored by Skylark Club and Cafe, with free live music six nights a week):

FRIDAY NIGHT: Sid Law, one-man band extraordinaire, will give an intimate concert of original songs and unique arrangements of pop culture gems spanning eight decades. He’ll be joined by virtuoso Italian bassist Domenico Chiaverini. Playing a bass drum and high-hat with his feet, while playing acoustic guitar and singing or rapping simultaneously, Sid takes you on a musical journey both subtle and far-fetched, and imbued with a soulful imagination. The committee is co-sponsored by the SSLPP and the Log House Museum (corner of 61st Ave SW and SW Stevens). If you want to help decide what people will find when they open the capsule in 50 years, please join us at the museum on Oct. 18 at 4 pm
