Just happened to find this via Google Blogsearch: Thursday night dance parties with a cardboard “dance floor” on the sand.
I hear about these folks last summer and danced a wee bit one evening with them. I don’t know much salsa, but one really doesn’t have to with this group. It makes for a very different kind of fun evening on the beach.
If you are not familiar, this is salsa ruida, or salsa danced in a circle (in the round). These people were fun and very willing to teach. It’s free and one other great reason to go to the beach.
And friends of mine are dancing at the Alki Boathouse Friday evening (see Lineagedance.org), and that should be very cool.
