So says the city, citing 2006 stats. Still a ways to go to the 60 percent target rate.

I have to say that I am pretty passionate about recycling and this is great news. I can never understand why people don’t recycle. It’s not that difficult, people!

I am also an avid recycler and am happy to see this! I love that we can put food waste into the Yard Waste bin now.

I keep seeing/hearing disturbing reports on the news about how recycling sometimes ends up in the landfill anyway. It would be interesting to see a report about what really happens after the recycling leaves our curbside here in Seattle.
