Thanks to Michelle for sending the photo and the tip. What’s on that sign is all the info we have – we just tried calling but no answer and no recorded message. (If you’re not familiar with Admiralty House, it’s at 2141 California in North Admiral.)

This sounds like a land sale more than remodeling, let us see what develops.
I notice the logo is a old wooden plane, does anyone know if they specialize in old woodworking tools?
I’ve seen several old tool collectors in there while shopping for Christmas stuff. Hope they’re not leaving.
I bought antiques from Marge and Fred who are wonderful people. Fred is proud to say he will be 92 in April and Marge is, I believe, 85. They decided to retire for good. Inventory will take 6 months or so they think. When I was last in, they told me about what was going to happen and that they would sell to a relative but had a stack a foot high of offers from developers. The building is around 100 years old, they love it, and they preferred to keep it in the family rather than sell it to be torn down and I dont blame them a bit!
The building used to be a drug store and you can still see the marks in the concrete where the stools once were.
Marge was born and raised in WS, Youngstown I think. I think Fred lived here most of his life too. These are 2 very special folks who are still in love. I will really miss them.
Fred used to teach and be a counselor and his students still come to visit him 20 – 30 years later. One student came in each time I was there over the years. As Fred always said to me with a smile on his face when I left, “keep smilin’!”
I am no expert on Fred and Marge or the building and would love to hear more info from anyone who might have a story to tell.
DB, yes they do specialize in old woodworking tools, Fred has quite the collection of them there.
I talked to the lady who owns the antique shop just before Christmas. She is 81 and her husband is 91 and they are retiring. They really are doing inventory, organizing a little, and they will re-open shortly and have sales before they close.
Sorry, comment time is over.
