darn it all! i was hoping it said “closed for good”. do they even use chicken anymore?
Solid job on the spelling. I’ll admit I wished it would have been converted to a KFC/T-bell. Everyone needs a run to the border every now and then…
and nothing says “we sell quality food” like red spray paint scrawled on a damp piece of plywood.
of course they still have the huge banner up that says “open during remodeling”
I was glad they FINALLY closed it. You know they’ve been remodelling for weeks and weeks while they are open…? Can’t imagine exactly what kind ‘spices’ made it into the special seasonings…
Every time I drive by during business hours people are in the drive-thru line, so I think some WS-ites would be sad to see it go. Even though I don’t eat there anymore, I love the smell of fried chicken. ymmmmm.
All funny and true (love the sign myself)…but if you think Taco Time or McDonalds are any better in their ‘meat’ products you’re just silly. It’s all over salted junk food. Fine once and a while, just don’t live on the stuff (see the funny ass movie “Super Size Me” if you want to see what living on this stuff does to you)
Aw, come on! Everybody needs a little KFC once in a great while! ;-)
I’ve been craving it since my wife’s been pregnant. Don’t ask….
It is not often that I agree with OP in the WSB comments but the man is absolutely on-point today! Y’all stop messing with the Colonel! That chicken IS finger-lickin’ good. And I’m not just saying that because of the secret addictive chemical they put in their chicken to make you crave it on a regular basis.
I live right in the neighborhood and was glad to see the remodel, but man is that an ugly building. Definitely not much of an improvement, if any.
It’s a shame that the main “welcome to West Seattle” neighborhood reeks of suburbia. Maybe that’s why much of the mainland thinks of us as outside ‘the city’ – and now also illiterate!
In the words of Homer J. Simpson:
“Mmmmmm…..secret addictive chemical….”
Sorry, comment time is over.
