Winter wonderland, and all that

Most snow we’ve seen up here in a few years. The accumulation on fencetops and so forth looks like about two inches. How about where you are? (We know this is serious — just spotted a snowplow south of M-Junction on Cali Ave.)

Youngstown has a couple of inches, though it hasn’t stuck to the roads just yet.

Arbor Heights, just west of 35th SW: 4.25″ on my patio table. I’m sure my 2yr old just made his first and last snowman for a solid decade. =)

Snow is all over the roads down here. On Vashon there are so many cars stuck down at the bottom of the hill at the ferry dock that they aren’t loading cars to Vashon anymore. You can walk on if you wish. So the line of cars stretches all the way to the gas station.

So…if someone is parking in your Fauntleroy neighborhood tonight, give em a break…

3 inches at the top of highpoint by the water towers. The roads are covered also. I posted some picts of our place on our blog.

It looks like about 3, maybe 4 inches on our fence tops here (about a block West of Endolyne Joe’s).

Here’s hoping for a snow day away from work tomorrow :)

Yep, it’s serious, there’s an inch and a half on Beach Drive and THAT hasn’t happened since I don’t know when! I, for one, am very happy to see it.

We have 4 1/2 inches on our deck at 104th and 34th. Wheee! It’s prime snowman makin’ snow. If I didn’t have a chest cold already I’d be out there now!

Morgan Street got snowplowed about 8:00 pm and now there’s about 1.5 inches stuck back on the roadway.

Looks like about 5 inches up here at 37th and Southern, and still falling pretty thick!

Looks like 3-4 inches of snow fell around Westwood Village and it’s still coming down. Been out sledding with the kids! Wooo-Hoo!!!

9:30pm looks like the snow is slowing down.

A good 5″ on the ground by the Fauntleroy “Y”

If your from east of the Mississippi you love nights like these.

I just drove home (Delridge and Thistle area) from downtown Seattle, it was fine downtown, but lots of snow and ice on the roads from the Delridge exit ALL the way up to Thistle. It got really slippery around Brandon St. (near the library). I managed to make it home going about 15mph up Delridge by Home Depot, slipping and sliding all the way. We had to dig out our parking spot in order to get the car in =) I’m hoping for a snow-day tomorrow if for no other reason then to avoid more shoveling….

Now Youngstown has snow on the roads. Yeah for the snow day!

Sorry, comment time is over.
