    Just Thinking out loud, but would a Metro return to Traclkless Electric Trollies be beneficial?

    I’ve never looked at operating costs and I realize it would reduce route flexibility, but, it would certainly reduce oil consumption. I can see trollies on routes 21, 22, 23, 37, 51, 53, 60 and 56. maybe even 54, 55, 125.

    the reduction in oil use might hold true..

    but one has to ask where that electricity comes from…

    here.. we are the beneficiaries of relatively clean electricity…

    but every bit of it that is used here isn’t used somewhere else .. and is replaced by much less clean electricity….

    we should be looking at new technologies.. as well as exploring the old.
