    Come join a stellar team of dedicated culinarians. Our food is the star of the show and you are the artist! Salty’s on Alki is looking to build its kitchen team and wants you. Tell us why you are a good fit for us. Please apply via this add or come in on Thursdays at 1pm for our weekly open interviews. Show up early on Thursday and fill out an application.

    As a Salty’s cook you will accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products. You will also prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Other duties include final plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates. At Salty’s we are always learning, growing, and aspiring to greatness. Free parking! Benefits offered for qualifying individuals after 6 months.

    Qualifications:

    A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
    Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel.
    Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
    Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).

    Experience:

    Line Cook: 2 years
    Cooking: 2 years
    kitchen preparation: 2 years

    Required license or certification:

    Washington Food Workers Card
