Need Approved Dog Carrier

I’m going up to Alaska for 2 weeks in May and would like to borrow, rent or buy (if reasonably priced) a small airline approved dog carrier. Dimensions can be no more than 11″x17″x24″. Does anyone have one like that?

We have a cat (?) carrier that might fit — is there a difference between cat and dog carriers (other than the dog might be insulted)? Anyway, if it works you’re welcome to use it. Update: 15H, 14W, 24 long. (If they go by square feet, you’re in)

Only time I traveled with a dog he was 80 pounds, so he had to travel in luggage and size was no object. I still haven’t forgiven myself. :-)

I looked closer at our pet carrier. It is a Petmate Double Door Deluxe intermediate. The exact dimensions are 24″L x 16.25W x 14.75H.

Hey, Charla/Bob…catlbob…thanks, I would love to borrow, but the dimensions I have to work with are 11Lx14Wx24D so unless they don’t actually measure them or I can figure out a way to squish the width (suck it in with a vacuum, hmmmmm :-{) I don’t think it will work. I am going to call the airline though and double check on it. AGain, thanks.
