CaitParticipantWhen you instantly feel put upon any time you see high schoolers on their lunch break. (To be fair, this started happening to me six months after I graduated high school.)

JanSParticipantlol…felt like a grouchy old woman last week when I encountered 2 WSHS students cutting class at 8:35am, sitting on the steps to our building’s storage room, under a carport smoking pot….directly under a “No Trespassing ” sign. I asked if they had seen the sign. “Uh, what sign?”. So I told them politely that they needed to move on.They did…to the apartment building parking lot 2 doors down.

TanDLParticipantWhen you’re excited to find out the ending of the same book you’ve read over and over for the past 10 years.

June 11, 2013 at 3:12 am #791440
Genesee HillParticipantWhen you remember JoB and miws for not getting a big charge out of ‘slapping down’ someone with a different view of squatters on public land.
June 11, 2013 at 3:29 am #791441
JanSParticipantyou know what, Genesee Hill…you’ve a one track mind. Lighten up. This is not about your view on NV, and it’s getting rather sickening that that’s all you post about., even on a light hearted thread. We get it. According to you, they are bums, and should be run out of town on a rail. GIVE IT A REST !
June 11, 2013 at 3:48 am #791442
Genesee HillParticipantOK. Got it, Jan.
I remember visiting a Dick’s (of hamburger fame) in Bellevue. Do you? And it was later torn down. What was the new location of the Dick’s they replaced it with? Hint: the location was named after a queen…and it may have had ‘Hill’ in the location name…
June 11, 2013 at 3:50 am #791443
miwsParticipantTypical.
Makes endless, derogatory remarks about those that are less fortunate, then can’t handle the “slap-down” of being called out on it.
Mike
June 11, 2013 at 3:59 am #791444
Genesee HillParticipantNo, Mike. It was the Queen Anne Hill Dick’s that replaced the Dick’s in Bellevue. But close.
June 11, 2013 at 4:02 am #791445
lindaParticipantJust getting back to this thread and I do have to laugh. I really don’t ever feel old until something like this reminds me of my half century plus on this earth. In my mind, I’m still twenty something with the advantage of the wisdom of my years.

CaitParticipantTo Genesee Hill – *thumbs down / fart noise*

June 11, 2013 at 2:13 pm #791448
sacatoshParticipantWhen you drive by a cute 20-something and your head turns to better appreciate the view… and then you realize he or she is young enough to be your kid, and likely thinks you’re a creepy old fart.

Genesee HillParticipantWhen you claim to love the folks at Nickelsville, but don’t want ’em anywhere near your residence…
June 12, 2013 at 1:41 am #791451
JoBParticipantG.. hill

you should see the garden they have cultivated for me
beautiful!
i can tell i am getting old because …
without them i would still be dreaming about what might have been
June 12, 2013 at 2:03 am #791452
miwsParticipant…when you’ve had enough life experience to realize that you can’t train absolutely everyone to have compassion for, and to not demean others.
It’s not your fault, nor your problem, that they have chosen to not overcome their own insecurities.
Mike
