The other day my honorary nephew asked me, “If you’re older than my mom, how come you don’t have a job?”

    Good question, actually.

When you’re trying to run for the bus and your legs will only do the Tim Conway shuffle.

When you’re old enough to know who Tim Conway was (old man character on Carol Burnett Show).

You know you’re getting old when your kids are becoming seniors!

My oldest of four kids is 57 this year and youngest is 41 today.

When you go into an antique store and see the things that were in your life while growing up.

When you find you and your significant other (of decades) spending a Sunday afternoon driving around different neighborhoods looking at houses, gardens, trees … and chatting about what you see and what has changed. As a kid that was the torture put on you by your parents after church for all the bad things you did during the prior week. Now we come to look forward to it. Go figure. Guess they weren’t totally clueless!
