You Helped Me With My Screaming Toddler on Alki

To the kind woman who offered to help me with the wailing, kicking, melting-down toddler in my arms while I tried (unsucessfully) for a peaceful walk on Alki Beach this afternoon, THANK YOU. I was so flustered after we stopped to catch our breath that I forgot to say thank you before I walked away again! I am so embarrassed that I didn’t say it a million times and give you a hug–you are a nice reminder that there are good people in the world. I really really really appreciate your kindness! You helped me today more than you realized. :) You were with 3-4 kids of your own, and your husband (?) and still you walked right over to me and asked how you could help. Although I couldn’t easily take you up on your offer, I just wanted to say thank you for helping me through the most difficult moment of my day. You made a difference!
