josie2006MemberI don’t understand how a wing place can not serve buffalo-style wings – not only that but when we decided to try them a few weeks ago, we were told over the phone that their regular wings WERE buffalo style, meaning buffalo sauce. Then when we got them home, they were plain and completely unsauced. We called back and they were totally unapologetic, saying, no actually it wasn’t buffalo sauce, just some spices. It was the same guy that originally told us that they were buffalo wings. Maybe there is some wing code I’m unaware of, I don’t know, but we won’t be going back due to the poor service.

mirabileMemberThe best buffalo wings in the whole U.S. of A. are in Bonita Springs, Florida in a “restaurant” by the name of Buffalo Chips. It’s an undisputed fact.

dawsonctParticipantJosie, the ingredients for “Buffalo sauce” are nothing more than Frank’s hot sauce and butter. Wingdome has always used their own sauce.

Personally, I hate homogenized food, but most Americans sure don’t like any surprises in their food, which is why McDonalds, Applebee’s, Cheesecake Factory, etc., with their incredibly bland and unexciting fare, are so successful in our Nation.
You want “authentic” Buffalo wings? Go to the Anchor Bar some day. It’s really a very nice place, other than the fact it is in Buffalo, N.Y.

I have a feeling the residents of Buffalo would dispute it.
