goodgracesParticipantThe gal I had been seeing there for over a year left recently and now I’d love to find a new person. She was really and truly fabulous and I’m having trouble finding someone who measures up. I won’t list the names of the two other folks I’ve tried, because maybe they’re making others happy and I’d love this thread to be about raves, not rants. ;-)
Do you go there regularly? Whom do you see?
Thanks all!

pshihoParticipantGoodgraces, I am one of the owners of LaVida Massage and, like yourself, I am always saddened when a great LMP moves on. We have a wonderful staff of 25 LMPs that we are very proud of. I think that this is the best group of therapists that we have had since we opened 11/2 years ago. All of them have years of experience. Although it is true that a particular therapist may not be perfect for you, they are perfect for someone else.
Who did you see that you enjoyed so much and what did you like about her that you miss. Maybe I can give you a few recommendations. Knowing what you like in a massage might give others a better idea as well so that they can give you feedback. Also, always tell the front desk staff your feeling towards a particular therapist. They know them all well and might be able to help you find that perfect match.
Thank you so much for being a client at LaVida and we will always work hard to give you exactly what you are looking for.

EmmyJaneParticipantI go to Marie regularly. My first massage with her wasn’t anything special, but every one since has been really (really) great!

goodgracesParticipantThank you so much, pshiho and EmmyJane!
Well, Taryn was my LMP there. Besides being just a lovely all-around person, I appreciated that she seemed to have such great intuition about areas that needed extra attention. Plus, she always seemed to be really “present” and didn’t just do the same old song-and-dance every time.
I don’t have any particular health issues — just come because I think massage is an integral tool for promoting (and maintaining) physical and mental wellness. In other words, I truly enjoy myself while on the table but also find that coming regularly enhances each and every hour in between appointments.

EmmyJaneParticipantGoodgraces- I wondered if you had been going to Taryn. She was soooooo good!
I’ll add about Marie- the thing that I like the most about her is she gives the best neck massage, which I usually need.

pshihoParticipantGoodgraces..Please feel welcome to email me directly at psilver@lavidamassage.com and leave me your name. I will be able to look up your massage history and give you a call or email back with some great recommendations. Taryn moved to Issaquah and although we do miss her, we have many wonderful therapists that I can talk over with you about and help you find what you are looking for. All of our therapists have years of experience. I am confident that we will find the right one for you!!

Gina AllenMemberI wanted to share that LaVida massage therapists, Josh and Steve, were an awesome highlight of our staff and teacher appreciation week at Lafayette Elementary. They donated seated massage for a full day! The staff had wonderful comments regarding Josh and Steve. They were so professional and so nice. They really do aim to please.
