Once again you are cordially invited to visit us for an evening of Cultural Storytelling.

When: This Friday (May 20) at 5:30 PM.

Where: White Center Community Cultural Center off Roxbury and 18th Ave SW.

Join us for a wonderful night of Cultural storytelling. This week we have Marwa Sadik from Iraq to inform, educate, and entertain us.

As always, this WCCCC event is free.

Last month’s story was an especially moving one. For me anyway. Hava, a Muslim woman from Bosnia, told us about how she had to run for her life and hide out during the civil war there. She had to swipe food to survive, but the lady she swiped it from eventually became her lifelong friend and the story had a happy ending. (Whew!)

Let’s hope Iraq turns out like that.
