Can’t think of it for the life of me! Would you reccomend? Any other outdoor seating establishment rec’s would be great too! Good Happy Hour?

    I don’t get “out” much. :)

    Thanks!

Definitely recommend — novel food and, for this comfort food fan, many things that will become my personal comfort food as soon as I can get back there.

Great staff, servers (owners? I’m never sure which owners are serving in a new place.) We’ve been there three times and have never been disappointed except when the Seattle spring and summer didn’t allow us to eat on the patio.

Haven’t been in several months, but I would also recommend Avalon. Great menu and good vibe. Don’t know about Happy Hour but most places have a pretty good HH option these days. Go!

put me on the “rave” list. avalon has great management (who regularly stroll through the restaurant to ensure that their guests are satisfied), great staff, and great food.

try the steak! the sauce is incredible.

and it’s a really nice location for summer evenings, since the sun isn’t blazing through the windows.

you have to admit that nucor is beautiful in a strange sort of way.

I don’t have to admit that, redblack. It is not true for me. And I LOVE industrial beauty.

It is not the factory, it is the color. Blech, belch, burp, poop.

In terms of Avalon, been there a few times. Good food, good service. Keep up the work! I’ll be back, despite the eyesore.

Went to Avalon tonight for the 2nd time. First time we were there for Brunch on the weekend. Tonight happened to be Tapas night. It was really good. We have a fig and duck flatbread mini pizza, riblits, buffalo wings, clams in a pesto wine sauce and some other goodies.

    Very tasty.

Count my wife and I as fans of Avalon as well. We have been there three times since moving here, and very happy each time. You will not be disappointed. I will also recommend the grilled romaine salad. I would rank this item as the third best salad in my eating out history, and I eat out often and all over the country.

#1 is the Rico Salad at MiCocina in Southlake, TX.

#2 is table side Ceasar in Akumal, Mexico.

Obviously this is subjective, I am not a food critic, just a fan of eating.

not to be a downer, and i realize i’m a bit late chiming in, but i really wasn’t impressed with Avalon. Had happy hour and it was only ok. Do not get their rice balls, they’re dry and horrible! Maybe i was there on a bad night or something.

I did go back for brunch, and that was pretty good though.
