csw2119ParticipantHoney Baked Hams are so expensive now. Do you know of another great brand that tastes similar?

robirdaParticipantI have the same thoughts as you re: Honey Baked Hams. I’ve gotten spiral sliced hams at Safeway that are fantastic. I don’t remember the name but it is wrapped in gold colored foil within a black netting. It has it’s own packet of glaze but I add brown sugar and honey together and rub all over the ham. Let me know if you need it’s name.

squareeyesParticipantI do love me some HBHams! Unfortunately I don’t have an alternate suggestion. I temped at HBH back in 1987 for the lead up to Thanksgiving. What a crazy couple of weeks. I was very surprised at how they achieved that crunchy exterior. Hint: it involved a blowtorch.

trickycooljParticipantFred Meyer used to do a nice ham in the deli, it’s been a while since I’ve had one but maybe call and check with them.

GAnativeParticipantCostco usually has a spiral sliced ham and comes with a packet of glaze also.

madtatParticipantCostco spiral cut is delicious. The bone cooked in chicken broth/water makes a great split pea soup as well.
