KenParticipantThere are so few variables in a small computer network that pretty much any tech should be able to fix it. However their are industry specific data retention, mail archive and security practices and sometimes you need a specialist and sometimes you don’t. POS (that’s point of sale, not what you’re thinking)systems also often need consultants with experience and MFG training on specific equipment and software. If you have any of these complexities I can probably refer you to someone specific.
I can probably also fix most small networking issues over the phone. My WAN experience is what is several years out of date.

It takes a very different skill set to manage a 20-30 user network vs. only a couple of computers.
I own a managed IT services company (commonly referred to as an MSP or Managed Services Provider). We are typically focused on a slightly larger client size, however, usually 10-50 users, and slightly more sophisticated services (and more expensive) than an individual technician typically offers.
