Want to send a warning out for a possible scam. A man called my home claiming to represent a business that sells advertising space on the back of grocery store receipts.
He talks super fast, and repeatedly asked to set up a time for him and his partner to come over and make their pitch. He said they found me on Yelp. The more reluctance I expressed, the faster he talked, pushing for a time to come to my home, saying their schedule was wide open and I should just name the time and they’ll be right over. (Such a deal…)
Said his name was Nicholas/Nick. I told them to send me demographics for their audience, costs, and information about their company. Of course, I’ve received nothing from them.
I am concerned because their tactics are very aggressive and they insist on coming to my home. It sure felt like a scam and could potentially be a danger to someone who lets them in.
Has anyone else gotten a call from them?
