Anyone have (or ideas on where to find) a furnished weekly rental unit available in August (roughly the 5th-15th)? We’ve checked the usual sites, VRBO, Airbnb, etc. but at this late date things are already booked up. We’re West Seattleites and are looking for a small place for my husband’s parents to stay while visiting our 5 month old son. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or leads!

I think there are house swap places. They could have someone stay at their place while they stay at theirs.

ACS — you might want to try Ivy Court Apts. (across from WS Thriftway), Donna and Ken are the owners and typically keep an apt. or 2 avail. for short term rentals…. I’ve put up my in-laws there before for about a weeks stay.

I looked up this place a few years ago, never booked it but it looks cute!

Do they need a full kitchen or just something like a separate basement furnished bedroom/bathroom?

Thanks everyone, we’ve checked out these suggestions but still no luck yet with the dates of their stay. Meg – they don’t have to have a kitchen though it would be nice for the 2 weeks. The search continues!
