GinaParticipantThe peanut butter maltballs, covered with chocolate are really good at Trader Joe’s. I don’t care for the latte flavored ones.

GinaParticipantWhoops! Should have posted in the Trader Joe’s thread, not in the thread fomerly known as Trader Joe.

charlabobParticipantI, personally, live on and love the chocolate flavored espresso beans. They’re about half the cost of Starbucks and, face it, they’re a drug :-)
Nice segue, Gina!

hopeyParticipantHappy to help. :) You should be aware that each TJ’s is a little bit different, carrying slightly different products. The store on Queen Anne is *super* small, for example. The Issaquah store doesn’t stock some of the things I always get. I think the University store is actually my favorite, but that’s a little too hard to get to when there’s a decent one in Burien.
TJ’s also sometimes run out of items — or apparently they’re waiting in back to be restocked, per JoB! So it may take you a couple visits to really get a feel for what they have that you’ll like.

JeraldParticipantI just read this whole long thread. Wow. All I have to say is…I want a Sonic too! I keep seeing their commercials and it’s torture. I may have to get some of those amazing ginger cookies at TJ to keep me sane.
April 22, 2008 at 3:59 am #619931
JoBParticipantJerald has won the secret ginger cookie prize for reading the entire thread…
unfortunately, TJs is still waiting to be restocked:(

JeraldParticipantLuckily (or unluckily?), I have reason to be in Burien several times a week, so I can keep checking. I keep hoping they’ll have dried chicken strips again (for the dog, not me), but not for awhile now. Of course, every time I go there and they don’t have what I want, I come out with at least one full shopping bag anyway. And, of course, I never remember to take in a reusable bag so I buy another one. I’m building an enormous collection, from every store and chain around. Sigh.

JanSParticipantI know I really don’t need to explain this…but, I’m a glutton for punishment….Lintle..I said I was ENTERING my 7th decade. I’ve already been through 6 decades…use your fingers….so, I’m 61..just entering the 7th decade of my life…got it?
ok..I’m done..back into my hole :)
April 22, 2008 at 4:35 am #619934
JanSParticipantdoes TJ’s have chocolate covered gummi bears?
April 22, 2008 at 4:47 am #619935
AnonymousInactiveJanS, I wanted to point out the same thing, but then I thought I’d be encouraging him/her to keep going. At least some of us can figure out complicated equations:)
And what is it with the *next subject please*? Are they in charge now?
April 22, 2008 at 4:51 am #619936
JoBParticipanti don’t think i saw chocolate covered gummi bears there today.. i would definately have walked out of the store with them…
and no chicken strips.. but they have these cool new rawhide bones.. and breath mint bones for the puppies…
and i wish i had bought tulips….
April 22, 2008 at 4:53 am #619937
AnonymousInactiveDoesn’t costplus have chocolate gummies?
April 22, 2008 at 4:54 am #619938
JanSParticipanttulips are some of my favorites…and having them would make it seem so much more springlike…
not to worry…Met market has those delightful gummi bears…I may just have to go there in the next day or so :)
April 22, 2008 at 5:07 am #619939
JoBParticipanti think tomorrow i brave Pike Place Market and do the downtown thing.. so i imagine they will be available at one of the tourist stops…
wish for sunshine in the morning for me.. will you…
i am off to rest up for another round..
guests are going to be the end of me:)
