B-squaredParticipantI have a porch light that has stopped detecting motion and would like it replaced by a new one i have bought. I also would like some wiring in the basement identified before i have it covered by insulation. Any recommendations for a contactor that might entertain doing these tasks without emptying my checking account? i know it’s a small amount of work. the wiring ID is actually the main reason i need someone to come out. Any ideas?

acemotelParticipantdo you have a contact # or email? I have a great handy man who does all my work, but don’t want to put his name out there, because he is not looking for work.

BlendParticipantI recommended HHL Insulation for your insulation needs on the other thread you started.
Humberto says he can come by and take a look and let you know what you can do. He has recommendations for an electrician who is reasonable.
Call HHL Insulation 206-510-8800.

B-squaredParticipantAlkicabcompany – have you had HHL do work for you? i was hoping to get bids from folks who came with recommendations. Also, it looks like his insurance expires on Saturday. Hmmm….
i would like to get another bid as one of the ones i got is out of consideration.

BlendParticipantYes this is the time of year where the insurance gets renewed. It should post on the L&I Website to reflect the current insurance in a few days. There is never a gap in insurance. He has always maintained his insurance coverage.
I have not had work done by him because I am a renter. But I would recommend him to my landlords or anyone else because I know him as a person. He is an honest caring person with a good work ethic. I met him at the gym and we started talking about how a business should be run and how important customer service is and we have the same ideas about this.
I am helping him get his website up and there will be a testimonials page. But yah..maybe someone on the blog has had work done by him and can chime in. But I would recommend meeting him.
The other day he went out to a house and they wanted insulation but he took a look and said it wasn’t necessary. They thought raccoons damaged the insulation but they didn’t. The other company was going to rip it all out and charge them to redo the insulation. But Humberto was honest and told them they didn’t need it. I just really thought that was cool. And that is someone I would recommend to people and someone I would want as a friend too.

TishMemberI know a great electrician who does side work on the weekends for $35 an hour. I don’t have his permission to share his info publically, so feel free to e-mail me your contact info and I’ll pass it onto him.
