I just purchased a whole fresh Alaskan Sockeye for $ 7.55 (net) after filleting/trimming. It is $5.99/lb with the head removed. They weigh it and then filet it. Best deal I’ve seen.

They have oysters for $4.99 a dozen (I know what they do for a living, so I will leave them for y’all but someone who liked ’em thought it was a deal. The sale is on through Saturday.

Thanks for the pointer — I’m always on the prowl for seafood bargains. BTW, what DO oysters do for a living? I honestly don’t know…. :-)

Filter feed. So you gotta trust the water they process. Think of a filter attached to all the air you breathe. Would you want to eat the filter? Plus we had to study where the internal organs were, so the idea of opening a live oyster and eating it, come what may, is not something I cotton to. But if we all liked the same things, there would be long lines everywhere. :-)
