We are looking for a swingset with large slide, bars, swings and possibly a tower and or a climbing wall. Must be in good condition with little maintenance or repair. Age appropriate for 7+. Rainbow or other well-made swingset or play equipment.

Yes I have tried Craisglist with no luck so far. We don’t want just a basic swingset or just a rainbow style with tower and a swing. We gave away our old swingset last year and really need an outlet at home to play. I did join freecycle but I have ended up with over 500 emails from people I don’t know that are looking for or selling items I don’t have any interested in so not sure how I stop that all from coming.

We would be willing be buy a swingset for up to $350.00-$400 but that is our limit.

Thought I’d post on this website to see if we had any better luck.

freecycle is just that…everything is free…they are not allowed to sell anything. Yes, it’s city-wide and generates a lot of e-mail. You can go into the members page and change your settings to just getting a digest….one e-mail per day (sometimes 2) that will list alll the offers that people are making. It’s a site basically to help people pass things on to other people that they no longer want in order to keep those things out of landfills. I always suggest to anyone that I tell about it to create a new e-mail account just for that since there are so many e-mails per day.

My daughter calls me the freecycle queen…I have over the last year picked up 2 cuisinarts, a Vita-mix, a dvd player, crystal, a 37″ lovely TV with stand, etc….all free that someone was giving away.

Hope you find your swing set…:)

    Hi JanS:

Thanks for the tips, I will try that right away! Lately I have been on a buying freenzy myself but on Craigslist, I found a Hotpoint side-by-side refrigerator (just afew years old and in perfect condition no stains, or scratches), a hotpoint stove with above microwave, a large cat tower that has 5 levels, and just last weekend a beautiful oak hutch. Now if I could just find a swingset! I see alot of step one sets available and also afew rainbow sets but they just aren’t big enough or the slide and swings are much too small. Wow! You have found some gerat items!!
