I havent talked to bar owners yet, but if we got together and we chatted and we felt like we could work well together i would be all for trying to make a business plan, that included talking to bar owners, so we could see if it was feasable…

AdmiralJanewayParticipantI wish for an Ezell’s Fried Chicken store in West Seattle. Their spicy fried chicken is tasty!

BonnieParticipantI heard Baja Fresh was good. I wish for that.

jbdParticipantAdmiral Janeway, wasn’t there an Ezell’s in White Center several years ago? I remember getting take out once. What happened to it and do they still have another location in the south end?
April 25, 2008 at 4:03 am #622855
AdmiralJanewayParticipantYes, jbd.
There was an Ezell’s on 16th Ave SW (Ambaum Blvd). It was open for only a couple years. Sad to see it close.
There are a couple of Ezell’s down south. One in Skyway and another in the Renton Highlands. I go to the one across from Garfield H.S. when I crave fried chicken!

JanSParticipantErik…I find out more and more about you every time you post – lol…the fundraising group may have to change it’s name to the “barflies” >:P

theeParticipantbeachdrivegirl,
Believe it or not, I had the same thought about this space. I’m very interested in this project and could bring some resources and experience. Feel free to contact me off-list.

charlabobParticipantNo, barflys. :-) I’ve been neglecting this thread and come back to Bukowki. One of the few celebs I would(have) recognized in real life.
Factotum was MUCH better than I expected — it was sort of a remake of Barfly but not really. Matt Dillon was a great Bukowski, imnho.
I actually think Admiral Pub would be great for Mom’s night out — exactly what moms need…and the slacker regulars could use a small dose of reality. :-)

celeste17ParticipantFYI I found a bubble tea place down on Delridge yesterday (Tuesday) haven’t checked it out yet. I hope to tomorrow as I have to do some errands down in that area.
May 1, 2008 at 12:30 pm #622862
AdmiralJanewayParticipantceleste17-if you are referring to Bubbles, they make good bubble tea. If it’s like the way they make it at their Harbor Ave location, be prepared for a very sweet drink. I recommend the watermelon flavor. Friendly staff.

celeste17ParticipantThank You Admiral. Where is the location on Harbor Ave? Is it near the water taxi?
May 1, 2008 at 6:52 pm #622864
austinMemberceleste- on harbor ave they’re just about across the street from the water taxi. very convenient.
