tanyar23ParticipantJust curious if anyone else is fighting a stomach bug in West Seattle. The 9 year old kid is vomitting and fevering.

BonnieParticipantNobody in my family but I have a few friends who have had it this past week. 8 mo. old baby and Mom have both had it.

tanyar23ParticipantHow long did it last Bonnie?

celeste17ParticipantMy Mom has had a upset stomach and a headache today so it sounds like a milder version of what you child has.

WSMomParticipantMe too! Bad headache and upset tummy yesterday. Came on fast and lasted until late last night. Feeling good today!

JoBParticipanti wish mine had moved on as fast

treefairiesMemberIt has been with my family for a few days now-3 nights, 3 days. Horrible stomach and headache. I have it and now my 2 year old has it. My husband and daughter do not have it. I’m assuming there is a connection between my son and I because he is still nursing, so got it from that. I hope everyone starts feeling better. It feels awful!

tanyar23ParticipantIf it’s any consolation, the 9 year old is doing much better today. What was concerning to me, was it seemed like she had a challenging time holding down fluids. She fevered last night and I didn’t need a blanket, because she was so warm. I hope she’s the only one it strikes in our family!
I also hope that those of you with this icky crud feel better soon!
February 16, 2010 at 8:09 pm #688590
BonnieParticipantI think theirs lasted about 2 days.

westcoastdebParticipantMom had it for 4 days, brother got it for 1, it lasted about 14 hours in me. Couldnt keep fluids down or food in. Not so fun!

EmmyJaneParticipantAre you pregnant?
:-) Sorry, I couldn’t resist. EVERY SINGLE TIME I get sick someone has to ask “are you pregnant?” I hope I don’t get sick, just so I don’t have to hear those words.
Ok, back to subject. I hope everyone feels better!

JustSarahParticipantHi, EmmyJane! :-) Completely relate on the “Are you pregnant?” brigade. My coworker and I were discussing this the other day, because she gets the same treatment. Even worse is when they follow it with, “Are you sure?” Yes, I’m sure, and it’s none of your business anyway. But hey, since you’re so interested you should start following my uterus on Twitter!
February 17, 2010 at 4:09 am #688594
EmmyJaneParticipantSarah- I’m laughing so hard! I’m going to steal that “uterus on Twitter” line. :-) How’s the new rental treating you? I hope you got a nice, big kitchen!
February 17, 2010 at 4:20 am #688595
JustSarahParticipantHehehe. Seriously, though, why do people think it’s an appropriate question? But I digress. ;-)
Not to hijack the thread, but… we did end up in a place with quite a large kitchen. That really ended up being the clincher; I hope you guys found a great renter(s)!!
Oh, and back to the original topic: I did have a stomach “bug” of some sort 2 or 3 weeks back. Mine stretched through a full week, though. Just general weakness, nausea, dizziness, etc.
