hammerheadParticipantAnother request/need for their pets. I was down there and letting everyone know that I can help with getting their animals fixed.
SO far 2 females cats and 2 dog neuters. I am asking for donations, these animals will get fixed at South Seattle Vet, so if you would like to make a donation please call 206-242-8338. Mention Nickelsville, the account is already set up.
I don’t want this forum to go into “these people shouldn’t have pets”. It is what it is, and this is what FCAT deals with everyday. I just want to help these people get their animals fixed and they actually want to do it too.
The female cats are in HEAT. We don’t need any more kittens. (FCAT has over 30)
Thanks for your support.

mehud7ParticipantThank you to FCAT for reaching out to residents of Nickelsville. Your compassion is evident. Another thank you to SS Vet for helping out. I will give them a call and make a donation.

2krazy4wordsParticipantWho would think of this other than FCAT?! Thank you for all the work you do – remembering and reaching out to the “forgotten”. FCAT and FAF can really use all the help they can to continue to help others … volunteer, foster, donate … please support these West Seattle based rescue organizations that are out in the trenches

mehud7ParticipantHopefully ALL West Seattle rescue groups will come forward to donate to the fund FCAT so thoughtfully set up at SS Vet for these deserving animals. The cost of a spay or neuter is nominal but makes a huge difference in the health and lives of our animal friends.

furryfacesParticipantFCAT, we can get the dogs and cats spay/neutered under our ‘It’s Hip, To Be Snipped’ and a partner program. We can take the gift certificates to Nickelsville or get them to you. Please contact us at furryfaces@hotmail.com Cheers, F3

hammerheadParticipantF3 the gift certificates will be to difficult for those down there as none of them have cars. So I will be doing all the scheduling of the s/n threw ssv. Not quite sure how you want to handle that but again I have an account set up for these animals specifically.
June 2, 2011 at 10:52 pm #725741
furryfacesParticipantThank you for your response. We assumed that transportation was an issue for the residents–as it is for many financially restricted individuals.
We have talked with our spay/neuter partner and they have committed to altering up to 10 animals, (mix of cats and dogs), at each clinic we schedule, until all animals are altered. There is no cost to the Residents or FCAT.
If FCAT can do the transportation and provide us the number of cats and dogs per clinic, we would be happy to coordinate the date(s) of the clinic(s) around FCAT volunteersâ schedules. If we act quickly, we can get the first clinic scheduled for next week.
If you would like to pursue this avenue, please email us at furryfaces@hotmail.com , so we can work out the details.

hammerheadParticipantThank you F3. I will be following up on s/n for animals this weekend. some are very hesitant. I have already let ssv know that these animals will HAVE to stay overnight. I will follow up when I have the confirmation from people
