To all of you who block public pedestrian sidewalks with your vehicles..please stop! Especially when there is always plenty of street parking around your residence. For the disabled using a wheelchair, walker, or cane, trying to go around your vehicle to get to/from the street and back to the sidewalk can be impossible. It seems selfish to convenience yourself to the detriment of others.

Home/businesses owners ARE legally responsible to maintain the sidewalk in front of their homes/businesses. If it’s cracked/uneven fix it. If someone trips or falls you ARE liable. It’s also your responsibility to make sure all trees/shrubs don’t block any part of the sidewalk. And, if it’s snow or ice on the sidewalk clearing it off saves you from paying for someone’s slip or fall.
