StiversfamParticipantMy husband and I just welcomed our son Luke to our family on 8/11/14. I will be spending time at home until late October, but then returning to work the first week of November. I would love to have our new nanny start in late October for some transition training and bonding time.
My husband and I have traditional schedules, but may work from our home office 1 day a week. We are still working out the details of our schedule, but we are thinking a typical week will look something like this: Monday-Thursday: 8:00/8:30 a.m. – 4:30/5:00 p.m. (about 35 hours per week at $11.50-$12/hour). We may be interested in some Friday morning support, nights and weekends on an as-needed basis, if our caregiver was available or interested.
Our primary focus for care is for our son to be happy, healthy and engaged. Development is important to us and we want someone who is playful, loving and experienced with a 3-month-old baby and understands his needs as he matures during his first year of life. Reading and music are definitely encouraged in our home.
We would like for our nanny to be open to supporting some light housekeeping, but the primary focus of this would be on our son – cleaning bottles, baby laundry, changing baby sheets, etc. A car is not provided and is required if you are interested in our family.
We live in a beautiful beach community in West Seattle. Our home is walking distance to parks, playgrounds, beach front paths and is very safe. Getting fresh air, regular walks and experiencing the northwest outdoor activities is important to us as our baby grows with age.
Basic requirements:
Infant experience required
High school graduate or college graduate
Non-smoker
Comfortable with pets-specifically a cat
Light Housekeeping
Meal Preparation when child transitions to food
Has safe and reliable transportation
Active and able to walk up and down stairs
