Global Diving & Salvage, Inc. (Global) is the largest diving contractor on the West Coast, based out of Seattle, WA, a leading provider of marine construction and infrastructure support services in the United States, and an internationally recognized casualty responder.

We are currently seeking Seasonal Environmental Technicians. This position reports to Global’s Environmental Operations Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with the towing, deploying, and stowing of oil containment boom
• Handle mooring lines and rigging to launch or dock the boat
• Perform lookout duties while underway – to include watching for other vessels,
monitoring traffic conditions and potential unsafe conditions onboard, and otherwise
• Splices and repairs cables and ropes using hand tools
• Small vessel operation
• Boom and fender maintenance
• Driving/positioning company vehicles
• Perform other duties as assignedRequirements:
• All employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must have a valid driver’s license, valid car insurance, and submit a driving record
for the past three years
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Must possess or be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification
Credential) card
• Must possess or be able to obtain a First Aid/CPR certificate
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Washington State Boater Education card
• Ability to lift from floor to waist, push and pull up to 50lbs occasionally up to 12
times per shift
• Ability to work any day of the week both night and day
• Must be able to withstand the following for up to 12 hours per day in all weather
conditions (Sun, Rain, Sleet, and Snow): stand, sit, walk, push, pull, squat, crouch,
bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, climb stairs and ladders, repetitive reaching, and
repetitive band use
• 24 hours and 7 days a week availability for the duration of the working season
• Ability to work any day of the week both night and dayTypical Schedule for Seasonal Employees:
• Must be available to work 40 to 50 hours per work week
• Rest period after each shift
• Must be available on a variable basis
• Employee must be available for a large percentage of available work and attentive to
communications for job scheduling changesEducation:
A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
• Must be 18 years of age or older
